When it comes to color, try to imagine you have one solid piece of paper and one translucent one; make your base shadow choice based on what would make the translucent paper look its best.

If you’re going for a bold or smoky eye, you can apply your base color from your lash line up to your brow bone. For a simple eyeshadow look, stop at the crease. This way, when your eyes are open, your masterpiece will slightly peak out.

Now that you’ve got your base down, it’s time to get into the fun stuff.

#2 Your Main Lid
